MP donates to schools in constituency

Atonsu (Ash), Aug 11, GNA – Mr Osei Prempeh, Member of Parliament for Nsuta/Kwamang in the Sekyere West District, has presented a cheque for 20 million cedis to the Kyebi Presbyterian Primary School. The cheque was from his share of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and will be used to renovate a three-unit classroom block, which is in a deplorable state.

The MP also donated six packets of roofing sheets to three basic schools in the constituency from the share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund (DACF).

They are Achiase Local Authority Primary School, Dida Local Authority Primary School and the Mangoase Local Authority Primary School.

Mr Osei Prempeh made the presentations when he visited the communities as part of his tour of the constituency to interact with the people and explain government’s policies and programmes to them. Addressing separate durbars at Atonsu, Kyebi, Achiase, Dida and Mangoase he called on the people to embrace the National Health Insurance Scheme and said it was the best option. He commended the Sekyere West District Assembly for its efforts at improving the lot of the people.

The Head teachers of the beneficiary schools expressed their appreciation to the MP for the donation. 11 Aug. 03
