Robbers terrorize Bortianor Redtop residents

Residents of Bortianor redtop, a suburb of Accra are demanding immediate action from the Inspector General of Police to stop the current spate of armed robbery attacks in the community.

The residents of the community located behind the West Hills Mall have come under incessant attacks from robbers of late.

Early this week, the robbers raided several houses making away with valuables and injuring several people in the process.

The community is without a police post, a development which has allowed the robbers to operate with impunity.
Recently, residents of Kasoa, also on the same stretch of the capital city experienced similar attacks until the police pitched camps there.

Starr News’ Ibrahim Alhassan who visited the community reported that the residents suspect the robbers are from a group of land guards recruited by a real estate developer; Arotech.

Opinion leaders in the community are also blaming the police in the area for shielding the land Guards.
