‘Anas’ incorruptible judges aren’t clean’ – Bright Akwetey

Private legal practitioner, Bright Akwetey has said some of the judges who have been portrayed incorruptible in the latest corruption expose’ in the judiciary are not exactly clean.

According to him, he knows those judges and will not accept the verdict by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas that they are clean and cannot be induced.

Speaking to Nii Arday Clegg on the Morning Starr Thursday, the CPP kingpin said Anas is in no place to determine judges who cannot be bribed in Ghana.

“I know some of the judges, and I don’t agree with him. I know these judges and so I don’t agree with that position.

“The judges who cannot be bribed, one was shown in Sekondi-Takoradi when we went for the bar conference two years ago; so Anas cannot decide for us which judge cannot be bribed,” he stated.

In his view, Anas and his team must be punished for tarnishing the image of Ghana in the international arena. He believes the expose’ subjects Ghana to international ridicule as investors will now have to think twice before investing in the country.

He also described Anas as a lawyer who has no knowledge of the law.

“It’s unfortunate that he is a lawyer because if he is a lawyer, then he should have known better and not do what he is doing”.
