Send children back to school – Director

Mrs Jane Sabina Obeng, the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Education Director has asked parents to send their children back to school after the holidays.

Mrs Obeng made the request after inspecting some schools in the area as part of “My First Day at School Programme” and noted that a number of the children had not returned.

She said without giving the current generation proper attention to education the country would not deliver meaningful development in future.

She advised the pupils to be serious with their lessons and take their books as companions to pass their examinations.

Mrs Obeng urged the teachers to be punctual at school and put on decent dresses for the children to imitate them.

The schools visited included Ntoaso SDA Basic, Panpanso Teshie Presby Primary School, Kwaku Tawiah L/A Primary, Kofisah L/A Basic, Akwamu Amanfo L/A Primary and Adoagyiri Methodist Primary.

The Director presented to the children exercise books, pencils, crayons and biscuits.
