GoldBod Dismisses Claims of Partnership with SML as Fake

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has issued a strong denial over reports suggesting it has entered into a deal with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML), calling the claims completely false.

In a statement shared with the Ghana News Agency, GoldBod firmly stated that it has no association of any kind with SML.

“The GoldBod has no dealings, contract, partnership, or relationship whatsoever with SML,” the statement read.

It further urged the public and media outlets to disregard any such reports.

“Any such claim is completely false and should be treated with utmost contempt,” the GoldBod stressed.

The statement comes amid the growing circulation of misinformation regarding supposed collaborations between the state agency and private entities. GoldBod emphasised its commitment to transparency and cautioned stakeholders against engaging with unverified information.

More updates are expected if investigations reveal the source of the fake claims.
