The Ashanti Regional Constituency Chairmen’s Caucus of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the party’s newly elected national executives and promised to work with them to strengthen its grassroots organisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement signed by the caucus chairman and secretary, Kofi Acheampong and Frederick Agyemang Mensah, on Monday, October 5, 2026, the constituency chairmen described the election of the new leadership as a positive step for the party.
The executives were chosen during the NPP’s national conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The caucus singled out National Chairman John Boadu for congratulations, along with the other members of the new national leadership. They include Vice Chairmen Kojo Fosu Boadu (Kojo Bamba), Henry Nana Boakye and Nana Akomea.
Justin Frimpong Kodua was elected General Secretary, while Alfred Kojo Thompson became National Treasurer. The other newly elected officials are National Organiser Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, National Women’s Organiser Mavis Hawa Koomson, National Youth Organiser Abanga Fuseini Yakubu, National Nasara Organiser Mohammed Ali Suraj and National Communications Director Dennis Edward Miracle Aboagye.
The Ashanti constituency chairmen said the region made a major contribution to the conference by providing more than 7,000 delegates. They also described the gathering as peaceful, transparent and credible.
The group said the experience of Mr. Boadu and General Secretary Mr. Kodua, popularly known as JFK, would provide valuable leadership as the NPP seeks to improve its organisation.
“We in Ashanti pledge to work hand-in-hand with the national leadership to reorganise, unite, and energize our base for 2028,” the statement said.
The caucus also called on party members to remain united and warned that the leadership election should not become a source of division.
“There are no winners or losers, there is only one NPP,” the statement added.
The Ashanti Regional Constituency Chairmen’s Caucus said it was prepared to play a leading role in rebuilding the party from the grassroots as it looks towards the 2028 general elections.
“As Ashanti Chairmen, we will be the engine room for the party’s comeback,” the caucus declared.
