The NDC youth organiser for Kwame Agyei, a suburb of New Edubiase in the Ashanti region, Mark Ayisi has been shot in the eye StarrFMonline.com has learnt.
He is currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. He has reportedly lost his left eye.
It is unclear the motive for the attack but a suspect is in the grips of the Edubiase police.
A local reporter Chukwu Joseph told StarrFMonline.com the victim was shot Wednesday evening while on a private security duty.
He was allegedly shot by one Kweku Mantey, a sawmill operator in the area.
