U/W: NDC issues 34,640 biometric cards to members

The Upper West regional secretariat of the ruling National Democratic Congress has issued 34,640 biometric cards to members of the party, since the beginning of the registration exercise in the region.

This is out of the 55,650 members who have registered since the biometric registration exercise of the party started this year.

The figures were disclosed to Starr News’ Upper West regional Correspondent Musa Lansa by the party’s regional Organizer Adams Nuhu.

According to him, the party is hoping to issue more cards to members before the 2016 general elections.

Mr. Adams who is elated about the numbers so far said the exercise will help the party in identifying its real numbers which will help in vote projections.

He said it will also help in raising funds for the party as each person with a biometric card is expected to pay some dues at the end of every month.
