Muslims in Tarkwa end Eid-ul-fitr with prayers

Muslims in Tarkwa and its environs, on Saturday gathered and prayed in front of the Tarkwa Municipal Islamic primary school to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

Alhaji Umor Abdulia Cece, the Deputy Municipal Chief Imam of Tarkwa Nsueam, who led the prayers, expressed appreciation to Allah for his strength, protection and direction throughout the Eid-ul-fitr.

He also used the occasion to pray for Muslims, leaders in the municipality and the nation at large.

Mrs. Christina Kobinah, Municipal Chief Executive, urged Muslims to bury their differences and unite to promote peace, truth and tolerance throughout the country, as they preach the good works of the prophet Mohammed.

Mrs. Kobinah said the assembly was working hard to improve every community within the constituency, and that, they should all assist in the total development of the municipality.

The MCE assured all Muslim groups in the municipal of the assembly’s continued support.
