Juaboso EC office burgled

Two computers together with their accessories have been stolen at the district Electoral Commission (EC) office at Sefwi Juaboso in the Western Region.

The theft is said to have taken place on Sunday after the constituency primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday.

The thieves were said to have broken into the office through one of the windows and made away with the items.

DAILY GUIDE learnt that the perpetrators of the crime managed to break the burglary-proof and cut the wire mesh used to secure the windows.

Confirming the story to DAILY GUIDE, Ampadu Pabi, the district electoral officer, said that the theft was detected on Sunday.

He indicated that after the NPP’s parliamentary primaries on Saturday, he left the office at about 6pm when everything was intact.

He pointed out that on Sunday at about 5pm he went to the office with intent to pick an item and realised that the office had been ransacked.

He disclosed that he had since reported the case to the police and the Western Regional EC boss, Mr Stephen Opoku-Mensah.
