Ghanaians must be governed with iron fist – Nunoo-Mensah

Former National Security Advisor, Brigadier General (Rtd) Nunoo-Mensah has said the lackadaisical attitude of most Ghanaians in relation to issues of the environment has reached an all-time high.

“I am disappointed in Ghanaians because the Ghana that I was born into is not the same that I am seeing today. Things have gone from good to worse. Ghana is the same and the only thing that has changed is the people.”

“We need to rule with a bit of iron fist. Now the people have become stubborn so you cannot at every time be telling them to change.

The security chief was responding to a question by Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM on a confidential memo he is reported to have sent to the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, calling for the banning of sachet water in the country.

“We have lost our sense of morality and patriotism. We don’t have patriots in this country. We don’t think about this country any longer. Now everybody is looking for money which is a problem.

“We need to sit up as a nation because we are moving down the hill.”
