My loss is a victory for the NPP – Isaac Osei

The Member of Parliament for Subin, Isaac Osei, has said his loss in last Saturday’s parliamentary primaries is a victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Monday that:

“I am not ready to discuss what accounted for my loss. The delegates have decided that a new candidate should represent the constituency. So, the most important things now is that the party has got a candidate for the 2016 Parliamentary election.”

He said he was convinced he had done a lot of work but “at the end of the day the delegates decided otherwise”.

The former Ghana Ambassador to the UK told Banson that he will continue to support the new candidate Eugene Antwi, to retain the seat for the NPP.

Mr. Isaac Osei managed 237 of the total valid votes cast while Antwi secured 266 to win the mandate of the delegates. The other candidates Joseph Boakye Danquah and Frank Kwadwo Duodu managed 104 and 38 respectively.
