Onzy Nkrumah to run for President

Dr Onzy Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah has disclosed that he is considering contesting for the Presidency.

He said he is most likely to contest on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party (CPP); a party founded by his father.

Dr Nkrumah, who has spent most of his life outside the country, told Starr News his decision has been informed by his believe that Ghanaian politicians have failed the country over the years.

“I was looking for somebody to support but if I couldn’t find anybody to support; I may consider myself because this is too painful to watch and to endure.

“And I am tired of giving advise which people don’t even want to listen or hear. It appears there is immunity or indifference and politicians are just playing with words and pretending.

“They are just lying through their teeth and they are clueless as well. I have given them the benefit of the doubt but I can’t see what they are doing right,” he stated.
