A 14-year-old girl has been arrested for killing an alleged rapist at Akyem Abaam in the Eastern Region.
The suspect stabbed the 23-year-old man to death when he allegedly tried to rape her on an orange farm. She had earlier turned down a proposal from the deceased.
The Oda Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent Ebenezer Ampofo who confirmed the incident to Starr News said the suspect will be arraigned before court after investigations are completed.
“The girl says the guy proposed to her three days ago and she rejected but yesterday,(Sunday) she went to an arrange farm and the deceased came there and forced her to have sex with him.
“In the process of having sex with her, she had a small knife with her and so she stabbed him in the upper abdomen and in the neck. She is currently in Police custody and will be sent to the court after investigations,” he narrated.
