Multi-million cedis cassava processing machine inaugurated

The District Chief Executive for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Mr Andrew Mensah on Saturday inaugurated a multi-million cedis cassava processing machine at Ekutsia Boamu, near Abura Dunkwa, and gave the assurance that the government would continue to give the necessary assistance and encouragement to the private sector.

He said the establishment of the processing plant by a private businessman, would assist cassava farmers in the area facing marketing problem.

Mr Mensah told the farmers to take advantage of the plant to go into large-scale cultivation of cassava to improve upon their financial standards.

The DCE appealed to the people to send their children especially girls to school to enable them to become useful future leaders.

He also urged the youth to be mindful of their sexual behaviour to avoid contracting HIV/AIDS.

Mr Mensah said the Assembly would share its limited resources equally to benefit every community in the District.
