NDC congress: Huudu Yahaya steps down

NDC chairman aspirant, Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, has stepped down and declared his support for the NADMO boss, Kofi Portuphy, in the ruling party’s national chairman race, StarrFMonline.com has gathered.

It is unclear what led to the decision by the former general secretary of the party.

The 8th Delegates congress of the governing party to elect new national executives is underway at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Over 4,000 delegates of the party are voting today, Saturday December 20 to elect new national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

Among the key positions being contested for are, the National chairman, General Secretary, National organiser, vice chairmen, deputy general secretary, and propaganda secretary.
