3 dead as dozens trapped in mining pit

Dozens of illegal miners are reportedly trapped in a pit at Tiagban in the Talensi Nabdam district of the Upper East region.

Starr News has learnt that so far three bodies have been recovered from the pit.

Upper East regional correspondent, Edward Adeti, said the number of those trapped is not yet known and “Not even the miners can tell.”
