Lancaster University launches second annual challenge

Lancaster University Ghana has launched the second Annual Business Cup Challenge aimed at Ghanaian high school students.

The Business Cup Challenge is a unique marketing plan competition designed to challenge students and launch them into the business world at a young age.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by Mary Anne Amoah, Marketing Manager, Lancaster University Ghana said the competition being partnered by Stanbic Bank, Daily Guide, Joy News, YFM and ETV, give students the opportunity to win the trophy for their school.

It said the competition also helps the students to develop new business ideas, gaining valuable knowledge and competing for saving certificates up to GH¢4,000.00 for the winning team from Stanbic Bank as well as scholarships from Lancaster University Ghana.

The statement said students would be encouraged to review and implement real life business plans, analyse critical business scenarios and present their cases to an academic and professional panel.

“The six-week competition begins on 9th of October and the finals will be held at the National Theatre on November 15, 2014,” it said.
