Nunoo-Mensah: CHRAJ boss’ saga depressing & sad

The Head of Human Security at the Office of the President, Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah has described as “sad” and “depressing” revelations of financial misappropriation against CHRAJ boss Lauretta Vivian Lamptey.

According to him, the conduct of the CHRAJ boss reflects the level of degeneration in the Ghanaian society.

The CHRAJ boss has come under intense pressure to vacate her post following revelations that over US$203,500 has been spent on renovating her official residence.

She is currently lodging at a hotel and paying the Cedi equivalent of $456.25 per day.

Speaking to Citi FM, the former Chief of Defense Staff said it’s unfortunate that such a high public official can conduct herself in such a manner.

“I am sorry about the CHRAJ commissioner’s issue, but it makes me really sad and depressed. I lived in my personal house when I was Chief of Defense Staff, I paid everything myself, nobody paid me anything.

“When I hear these things, they depress me a lot. We waste money doing these things and then we turn to the IMF for help. That makes me sick. Our moral fabric has broken down”, the former National Security advisor lamented.
