STCCI inaugurates Governing Council

The Sekondi/Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI) on Thursday inaugurated its Governing Council to spearhead the affairs of the STCCI in the coming years.

The council, as the key decision making body of the chamber is mandated to enhance the work and drive issues within the association.

The 20-member governing council has Mr. Ato Van-Ess as the Chairman.

Magistrate Judge Thomas kwabena Offei Die, who administered the oath, encouraged members to work with all diligence and good conscience to uphold the values of the chamber during their tenure in office.

The STCCI is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce and partner to the World Trade Centre in Ghana, with the mandate to provide maximum value to its members by promoting the private sector’s role as the driving force for sustainable development in the country.

Mr. Van-Ess, Chairman of the Council assured the business community of the council’s preparedness to enhance and promote programmes and policies geared towards the reducing the challenges that confronted businesses in the Western Region.
