Biakoye NDC elects new executives

Delegates at the Biakoye Constituency Conference of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the weekend elected Mr Emmanuel Agbeko as the new Constituency Chairman.

He polled 269 votes to beat Simon Twumasi, the incumbent, and Alhaji Shaitu Nuhu Labaram, who had 219 and 22 votes, respectively.

Mr Asiwome Amegla was elected the Vice Chairman with 214 votes, beating

Kwaku Owusu – 133 and Cephas Akakpo – 162 votes.

Other elected executives are Adzorlolo Harry, Secretary, Opoku Emmanuel, Assistant Secretary, Emmanuel Amoah, Treasurer, and Stephen Aniewu, Youth Organizer.

The rest are Joseph Otoo, Propaganda Secretary, Stephen Akpalu, Organiser, Ayitey Jonah, Deputy Organizer, and Abigail Abotsi, Deputy Women’s Organizer.

The position of Women’s Organiser and Deputy Propaganda were returned unopposed.

Mr Kwasi Aboagye, Volta Regional Chairman of NDC called for unity of purpose towards the party’s victory in the 2016 General Election.
