Mr Rod Mcgoba, Public Relations Consultant on Tuesday, said the 1992 Constitution is incomplete, and this has led to the recent socio-economic upheavals in the country.
He explained that the economy revolves around the social system, and the lack of guidelines and formulae in the constitution for the implementation of social policies had affected the governance of the country.
Mr Mcgoba, who was speaking to Ghana News Agency in Accra, said efforts by government to address the current economic challenges could only be properly tackled by reforming the constitution to spell out the guidelines and formulae for addressing social issues.
He appealed to the Constitutional Review Committee to consider social protection and the guidelines for implementing social policies seriously.
He said: “We are experiencing corruption in the society today because there are no guidelines for the socio-economic to emerge.”
Mr Mcgoba said if the constitution is complete, there will be a vibrant legal system with less litigation in the country.
He called for the creation of a National Security Council backed by the constitution with powers to investigate all people who abuse the legal system.
