Ayikoi Otoo: Supreme Court verdict on Woyome final

A former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Ayikoi Otoo says businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has no avenue to seek an overturn of the Supreme Court ruling ordering him to refund the 51 point two million Ghana cedis paid to him as judgement debt.

In a review application brought by citizen vigilante, Martin Amidu, the Supreme Court held that the contract whose purported abrogation resulted in the judgement debt, was unconstitutional and to that extent null and void.

However, Mr. Woyome’s camp hinted that it will seek to reverse the ruling.

Mr. Ayikoi Otoo however says all the avenues have been exhausted. Mr Otoo also spoke about the steps to be taken to retrieve the money from Mr. Woyome.

On the criminal case at the Fast Track High Court, Mr. Otoo said, it is distinct from the Supreme Court case.
