New Party to be formed out of NPP – Ben Ephson Asserts

The Daily Dispatch newspaper on Monday reported that it has chanced upon credible reports that plans are being hatched with the aim of preventing Nana Addo from being a flagbearer for the third time.

Mr. Ben Ephson, who is the Managing Editor for the paper in an interview with Okay FM, explained that his investigations into the matter was first triggered by an article written by Brig-Gen. (rtd) J. Odei, a member of the NPP.

According to him, Brig-Gen. (rtd) J. Odei pointed out in the said article that there is a plot to change the composition of the party’s National Executive Committee in order to favour Mr. Kwadwo Kyeremanten’s 2016 presidential ambition.

Mr. Ephson added that there is a plot to flush out Nana Akufo-Addo from the presidential primary by chocking the presidential race with so many candidates to compel the party to organise a Special Electoral College. This is to whittle down the number of candidates to five in line with Article 12 A (5) of the party’s constitution, and eventually force Nana Addo out of the race.

And should this plan materialize, Mr. Ephson predicts there will surely be a break away party which would be formed to support Nana Akufo Addo.
