WR Police Wives Association inaugurated

The Western Regional branch of the Police Wives Association was inaugurated in Takoradi recently with a call on members to channel their energies into productive ventures to support the home.

The National Vice President of the Association, Mrs Charity Kodolor, who inaugurated the association, said members were engaged in viable ventures, such as soap-making and tie-dye, adding that even ice water selling was a means of wealth generation.

Mrs Kodolor entreated the women to invest in their children’s education, adding that the association was now vibrant, and had outlined a number of educative programmes to empower members.

She urged police personnel to allow their wives to join the association for their betterment.

The occasion was used to induct regional executives into office, with Ms Akresi Mensah, Madam Constance Kemevor, and Madam Christina Duah, as president, secretary and treasurer respectively.
