Nana Addo to return from London “very shortly”

2012 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to return to Ghana “very shortly”.

Nana Addo has been in London since September last year as part of time off “the hurly-burly of politics”.

He went to the United Kingdom a couple of weeks after his petition challenging the presidency of John Dramani Mahama was dismissed by the Supreme Court.

Speculations about his return date has made rounds in the media.

Though no specific date has been announced yet, Kow Essuman, the Aide to Nana Addo, has stated that the two-time presidential candidate will return shortly.

It was contained in a statement issued on Friday, February 21, 2014 to reject a publication in the Al Hajj newspaper that Nana Addo has quit politics.

“Nana Akufo-Addo has made no such decision. As indicated before his departure to London last September, he will make known his future in Ghanaian politics on his return to Ghana, which will be very shortly,” the statement read.
