BA NPP ready for polls

The Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Ofori Annye, has stated that 530 delegates will on Saturday, 25th January 2014 elect regional executives to steer the affairs of the party in the region.

He mentioned that 530 delegates will consist of 464 constituency executives, 15 regional executives, 13 Members of Parliament (MPs), 10 founding members, regional council members, 10 regional patrons, six students from the six accredited institutions in the Brong Ahafo region and four representatives from the national council.

All is set for the regional elections to be held on Saturday, 25th January 2014 at the Pastoral Centre in Sunyani, Mr. Annye disclosed.

He also called on members of the party to unite to help the party to ensure victory in the 2016 elections.

The current regional secretary of the party, who is seeking re-election, appealed to the party’s members not to attack each other on the day of elections to help ensure smooth polls.

Kofi Ofosu Boateng, the current Communications Director of the party in the region, who is contesting for Deputy Regional Secretary position, also called on the party’s members to unite, adding, “2016 is not going to be easy for us so we need committed members to help win the elections.”
