Akufo-Addo: Let’s work for resounding victory in 2016

Two-time presidential candidate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged supporters to work towards a “resounding victory” in 2016.

In a congratulatory message to all those who won the party’s recently held polling station and constituency elections, Nana Akufo-Addo implored all supporters to “bring on board every member and supporter of the party in our efforts towards a strong and effective campaign for a clear and resounding victory in 2016.”

He said: “I congratulate all members of the party who participated in the various elections held so far. For those who lost, I wish you better luck next time and, more importantly, I urge you to stay fully engaged in our efforts to re-organise the party for the general elections of 2016”,

The former Attorney General said the party should be motivated by “the destiny of our dear country and how to enhance the lives of ordinary Ghanaians” to keep striving for power.

“Let us stay united even as we compete amongst ourselves. We cannot compromise on the unity of the party if we are not to compromise on the victory that we seek. We must, therefore, see these internal contests as but a necessary re-organisation process that we must first go through.

“Let us keep it clean and convivial so that we can all get back together, to think together, work together and secure victory together in 2016”, Akufo-Addo encouraged.
