We must unite to develop Ghana

Ghanaians have been asked to unite and make national development their supreme objective.

Reverend Nathan Mensah Nunoo, Head Pastor of the Faith Community Ministry, who made the call, said Ghana could only develop when all citizens unite with a common purpose of improving the lot of the country.

Rev Nunoo, who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Tema, said over the years, the politicization of national issues had stalled development in many areas of national concern.

He indicated that it was about time Ghanaians, especially those in political leadership, organisations and religious bodies among others, had a positive change of mind towards each other for the collective good.

Rev. Nunoo advised that instead of criticizing their opponents unnecessarily, leaders must offer constructive criticisms and suggest better ways of solving Ghana’s problems.

He further called on Christians to continually pray for their leaders and the government this year and beyond, in accordance with the biblical command that believers should pray for their leaders.

According to Rev. Nunoo, by so doing, the leaders would make good policies which would, in effect, make life better for the ordinary people.

He wished all Ghanaians home and abroad a good and productive year.
