Revealed: Ken Agyepong joins anti Akufo-Addo camp

It is now as clear as daylight that the Ashanti/Akyem rivalry within the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is not about to abate soon, as the John Agyekum Kufuor and his assigns continue to make it abundantly clear that Nana Akufo-Addo will no longer be allowed to foist himself on the party.

Day in and day out, the Kufuor faction continues to win more “souls” and one new convert to have joined John Kufuor’s Asante-dominated faction is no less a person than the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong.

The Informer is sitting on vital information that has it that Kennedy Agyepong has been making quiet sorties to the Airport area residence of ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, pledging to help oust Nana Akufo-Addo as flagbearer of the NPP.

The Informer’s source has it that, the Assin Central MP had made it clear that he is no longer prepared to ‘pour water in a basket’. In other words, Kennedy Agyepong has made it explicitly clear that he is no longer prepared to finance Akufo-Addo as he did in the past.

Apparently, Kennedy Agyepong has woken up to the realization that it would not make economic and political sense to still throw his weight and cash behind Nana Akufo-Addo, as John Kufuor and his Asante group remain in pole position to take over the party from Akufo-Addo and is staunch followers in the party.
