Kwesi Pratt can collapse Ghana – Charles Owusu

A member of the communication team of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has accused Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt for lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata’s accusations on Justice Anin Yeboah, a member of the nine-member panel which heard the election petition case at the Supreme Court.

Charles Owusu indicated that if “care is not taken, Kwesi Pratt can collapse the country. He can spell doom for the country with some of his utterances”.

This follows an allegation made by Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata that Justice Anin Yeboah is bias and always doing the bidding of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). Tsikata’s pronouncements were made on ‘Hot Issues’, a programme aired on TV3, an Accra-based television station and hosted by Kwesi Pratt.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Charles Owusu said the lawyer who also represented the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the election petition case, made those remarks based on the kind of questions asked by the host.

He said had the host asked the right question, the country would have continued to be peaceful and calm.

“Ghanaians should beware of Kwesi Pratt; if care is not taken, he can destroy this country. If you are hosting a programme, you should know how you go about asking your questions. Tsatsu’s answer was based on the questions Kwesi Pratt asked. Is it the kind of questions that need to be asked as a host and a journalist who has practiced journalism for so long? What is this…that is not the way to practice journalism,” he suggested.
