Isaac Turkson shot dead in Kumasi

A 47-year-old man, has been shot dead in Aboabo, a suburb in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

The man, Isaac Turkson teaches with the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) and was said to be studying around 3:30am, Thursday morning when an unknown person broke into his room and shot him after a confrontation.

Explaining what ensued to Sampson K. Nyamekye, a correspondent, wife of Isaac Turkson said she heard her husband talking and exchanging words with someone but could not identify who it was. All she heard was the sound of a gunshot.

Upon hearing the gunshot, she came out to find out what was going on, only to see her husband on the floor. Immediately the assassin saw her, he ordered her to keep quiet or risk being shot also. She, therefore, remained silent until the assassin went away.

They then rushed Isaac to the hospital, but he died on the way.

Meanwhile, the issue has been referred to the Ashanti Regional Police for investigations.
