We’ll be walking to office stark naked if… – NPP

With the unbridled economic hardship, innumerable industrial actions by labour unions, coupled with unprecedented water rationing in the country and the erratic power supply which is nearly crippling the private sector regarded as the engine of growth of the economy, a member of the Communication Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Isaac Acheampong, believes Ghanaians will soon be walking to office naked if President John Dramani Mahama remains in power for three more years because he is steadily destroying the country with his poor governance.

Accusing the President of avarice, the NPP activist described Mr Mahama as too money conscious who will stop at nothing to amass wealth for himself.

According to him, President Mahama’s level of greed surpasses any President who has ever ruled the country.

“…we have given our natural resources and taxes including the oil found to these leaders to manage and to provide us with water, electricity power and quality healthcare but they have looted and provided nothing for us,” he said.

Touching on the recent strike actions that have befallen the country, Mr Acheampong was of the view that teachers, doctors and some public sector workers took the decision to go on industrial action because they are aware of the looting nature of the current administration and want their share of the national cake.

He accused the Mahama-led administration of having invested state funds into areas which will not bring immediate improvement to the economy; adding that Ghanaians are suffering but the government is more interested in paying Members of Parliament more than GHc 4bn as ex-gratia.
