We have been abandoned – Gov’t Pharmacists

Government Hospitals and Pharmacists Association say it is yet to receive any invitation for negotiations with the government or the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission over its members’ concerns regarding their market premium.

The Association has threatened a strike on April 8 if its concerns are not addressed.

GHOSPA has already rejected a directive by the Fair Wages to petition the National Labour Commission over the issue.

Speaking to XYZ News the National President of the Association Steven Corquaye said members of the Association have no other option than to embark on the industrial action on the said date if the issues are not addressed.

“We have given enough time for all the stakeholders to have a definite resolution to this issue…If the time elapses we would get to our members and go ahead with the decision we have taken,” he added.
