Transition Team meets today after holidays

The sub-committees under the Presidential Transition Team will be holding various meetings from today as part of preparations towards next week’s swearing in of President Mahama.

The team, chaired by Vice President Amissah-Arthur is supervising the transition process as provided by the Presidential Transition Act of 2012.

Its Spokesperson, James Agyenim–Boateng, told XYZ News the three statutory sub-committees have had the cooperation of all ministers and government officials who have been asked to submit their handing over notes and vehicles.

“The various sub-committees continue to work… The full plenary of the transition team will meet again [today].”

“The chief of staff has been given a greater part of the handing over notes. It’s just one or two more ministries to go. So we are perfectly within time; the transition is moving smoothly,” he said.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng indicated the team will ensure that every aspect of the transition takes place within the needed time frame for future reasons.
