Kufuor is a thief- Kofi Wayo charges

Outspoken Leader and Founder of the defunct United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo, has launched a blistering attack at former President John Agyekum Kufuor, describing him as a “thief”.

In the estimation of Mr. Wayo, corruption and organized crimes were pervasive in the country under Mr. Kufuor’s government.

The URP leader launched the attack when he engaged in a war of words with Deputy Communication Director of the NPP, Samuel Awuku, on a private radio station in Accra on Wednesday.

“Kufuor is a thief! NPP is a corrupt party, go away! We need people who can properly manage the affairs of this country and not the NPP, corrupt party!” Mr. Wayo charged.

Mr. Awuku who joined the programme via telephone also did not mince words by hurling unprintable words at the URP leader.

The heated exchanges between the two politicians however compelled the host of the programme, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, to pause for a commercial break to enable him calm down the tempers of his discussants.
