A 16-year-old boy, Kwame Osei has committed suicide by hanging at Akrofoum in the Adansi South district of the Ashanti Region.
The incident is reported to have occurred around 7 am Wednesday morning.
According to reports, an argument ensued between the deceased and his mother over the weekend but it is not clear what led to the bitter argument between them.
The Akrofoum Police have however launched investigations into the matter.
Station officer of Akrofuom police, Inspector W. O. Osei who confirmed the incident to XYZ News said the body has been sent to the Obuasi government hospital for autopsy.
“We have taken photographs and we are conveying the body to the Obuasi government hospital for autopsy.
“We heard that the deceased has been threatening her mother always but she doesn’t bother until this morning when she returned from nature’s call to find the body of her son”.
