Mr Ludwig Hlodze, National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Sunday commended the level of co-operation between NDC and NPP Party Agents at registration centres in the Volta region.
“I admire the way agents of the two parties are working closely with registration officials and I must commend all of you for that,” he said.
Notwithstanding the cordiality between the agents of the two parties, they ensured the strict enforcement of the eligibility conditions prescribed for registration.
Mr Hlodze, made the commendation when he and Mr Henry Ametepe, Deputy Volta Regional Minister toured some registration centres in the Ho Municipal area.
He said, the cordial working relationship exhibited by the agents at the centres was an indication that the country was consolidating its democratic credentials.
Mr Hlodze, described the role of the Agents as key to the registration exercise and urged them to put the nation first and not their political parties.
He advised them against raising “unnecessary” alarms as that could give rise to chaotic situations and expressed satisfaction at the turn out, adding that, he was hopeful that all eligible voters would be registered before the exercise ended.
The team gave canned drinks and biscuits to workers at the centres visited.**
