Akomadan SHS supports orphanage

The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Akomadan Senior High School (SHS) in the Offinso North District, has donated gifts worth more than GH¢2,000.00 in support of the Misthy Cee Children’s Home at Akomadan.

These included bags of rice, sugar, gari, soap, cream milk, edible oil and cash of GH¢200.00.

Mr Maxwell Oppong, Patron of the SRC, said that was their contribution towards the upkeep of the children.

He said they were hopeful that the donation would help to bring a bit of comfort them.

He appealed to individuals, churches and organizations to show kindness and compassion for orphans and other needy kids in society.

Mr Siaka Stevens, Director of the Home, said they were grateful to the students for the gesture.

The home has a population of 60 children and Misty Cee Development Centre, a United Kingdom (UK)-based NGO has been its major benefactor.
