Ayariga optimistic about PNC’s fortunes in Election 2012

Sunyani (B/A), Feb. 7, GNA – Mr. Hassan Ayariga, newly-elected flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), at the weekend gave the assurance the party was prepared to make a significant impact in the December 7 general election.

“The PNC is moving from analogue to digital” to help maximize its fortunes in the polls, he told newsmen in an interview shortly after his election in Sunyani.

Mr. Ayariga observed that the party would have faded into oblivion if delegates had retained the leadership of Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama and commended them for taking the bold decision to salvage the party.

He emphasized the new leadership would ensure the opening of new offices in all the constituencies to make the party function effectively at the grassroots.
