Barton-Oduro wins Cape Coast primaries

Cape Coast, Jan. 21, GNA -Mr. Ebo Barton-Oduro, Incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast, on Saturday earned 317 votes to contest Election 2012 when he beat two other contestants in National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) primaries held in Cape Coast.

The Primaries which was keenly contested had Mr. Kwaku Ricket Hagan bagging 82 votes whiles Mr. Justice Kofi Boison got 49.

A total of 452 delegates voted including 15 proxy votes while four ballots were rejected during ruling party’s primaries.

The election was conducted by the Electoral Commission headed by Mr. Anthony Nyame, Assistant Metropolitan Electoral Commissioner.
