Bomoakpole gets new Chief

Bomoakpole(W/R), Dec.11, GNA – An employee of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Mr Kwame Atta has been enstooled as the Chief of Bomoakpole in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, under the stool name, Nana Minla Kpanyinli 111.

The stool became vacant for more than a decade following the abdication and subsequent death of Nana Minla Kpanyinla 11.

Addressing his subjects during the ceremony at Bomoakpole, Nana Minla Kpanyinli expressed gratitude to the kingmakers for giving him the mantle to lead, saying improving on education would be his priority.

He promised to complete a junior high school project in the town and liaise with the District Assembly for the academic facility to get an Information Communication Technology centre.

Touching on sanitation, he urged food vendors to apply their profession devoid of filth to avoid the spread of diseases.

He said he would fight for a clinic for the town and asked health workers to educate the people on health matters.

The District Chief Executive, Mr Daniel K. Eshun expressed happiness that after a decade, the town has enstooled a new chief, adding: “A a town without a chief is lawless,” and retards development.

He asked the chief to educate the people about the essence of paying of taxes.
