Christian should cultivate the habit of giving

Accra, Nov 27, GNA – Reverend Dr. Solomon Sule-Saa, the immediate past residence Minister of the United Church, has called on Christians to cultivate the habit of giving to impact positively on the society.

He said giving was a command from God, hence they should continue to give to acquire the blessing from the almighty God.

Rev Sula-Saa was speaking at a Harvest ceremony to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the church on the theme: “It is more blessed to give than to receive” in Accra on Sunday.

He explained that some of the attributes of giving included an expression of love, a reflection of God’s character and the blessing acquired from God.

The Rev Minister noted that the act of giving would be an investment for eternity and called on Christians to contribute genuinely to the growth and development of the Church.

“Each christian has the responsibility to carry out God’s instruction of giving,” he added.

Mrs. Stella Amoa, Senior Elder of the Church told the GNA that as part of the anniversary there would be a two-day revival in December to build members spiritually for the end of the years.

The Church prayed for good governance and God’s protection of the country, the 2012 elections and the Electoral Commission.
