Truck kills two in Bonsaso

Tarkwa (W/R), Sept. 6, GNA – Two people died on the spot and six others were injured when a heavy duty truck loaded with bauxite smashed into a building at Bonsaso in the Western region.

The deceased are Ama Tweneba, 65, and Angel Essel, a two-year old girl.

Chief Inspector Edward Paddy told the GNA that the accident occurred on Saturday and the driver fearing for his life rushed to the Bonsaso Police station, reported the accident and fell unconscious.

He said with the exception of one Madam Susana Koffie whose condition was critical and admitted at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital, the rest of the injured victims including the driver are on

admission at the Tarkwa Government Hospital. Chief Inspector Paddy said the truck which was traveling from Takoradi to Tarkwa on reaching

Bonsaso in the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality, hit a culvert on the Bonsaso Bridge and veered off the

road smashing into a building which was situated some few meters from the road killing the two.
