Collapse building kills 10-year old boy

Kyereyaaso (Ash), Aug. 31, GNA – Tragedy struck Kyereyaaso, a farming community in the Atwima-Mponua District on Monday, when a building in which a 10-year old boy, George Okran, was sleeping collapsed, killing him instantly.

His four other siblings, who were with him at the time, however, were miraculously unscathed.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ernest Fosu, the District Police Commander, confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) and said it happened at about 2030 hours. He said the walls of the room tumbled as heavy rainfall battered the community.

The body of the boy had since been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
