Apam chief worried about large number of school dropouts

Apam (C/R), July 19, GNA – Nana Effrim X, the chief of Apam, has expressed concern about the large number of boys in the town who are not attending school.

He said these boys are found loitering at the beach and video centres.

He appealed to parents and guardians to ensure that their wards are enrolled in school.

Nana Effrim made this comments at the wedding of Mr Michael Yawson Toah and Miss Patricia Gloria Appiah at the St. Joseph Catholic church at Apam on Saturday.

He said the greatest legacy that parents can bequeath to their children is education.

He said: “responsibility lies on them to ensure that their children are well educated to the highest level”.

Nana Effrim donated GH¢ 500.00 towards the refurbishment of the church building.
