Wall collapses and kills Two Children, Injures One

Gomoa Ekwamkrom (C/R), — Two children died and one was seriously injured when a building collapsed on them last Sunday following a torrential rainfall at Gomoa Ekwamkrom, near Agona Swedru. The victims were Master Kobina Siaw, four years, and Kobina Ewur, a four-months- old baby. Esi Akonuwa who was injured has been admitted to the Swedru Government Hospital. Mr. Thomas Aubyn, Member of Parliament for Gomoa East Constituency made this known to the Ghana News Agency yesterday after he visited the bereaved family. He advised the people to pull down houses which pose danger but cannot be renovated to prevent similar disasters in future. Mr. Aubyn appealed to the National Disaster and Relief Committee and the Gomoa District Assembly to come to the aid of the victims.
