Half Assini Catholic Church supports Catholic refugees

Half Assini, (W/R) April 27, GNA – The Half Assini Catholic Church

has presented a variety of items valued at GH¢200.00 with GH¢132.00

cash to Ivorian Catholic refugees resident in the town to relieve them of

some of their material burdens. The items include three bags of rice, some dozens of beverages,

soaps, yams, eggs and a bag of gari. The Reverend Father John Effeh, Parish Priest of the Saint Patrick

Church at Half Assini, who presented the items to the refugees, said the

move was in response to an appeal made by the refugees. More than 300 Ivorians have either rented rooms or are staying with

friends in the in the Jomoro District. Madam Kadjor Liamella Eboinou, who received the items on behalf

of the refugees, thanked the church for its kindness and appealed to

other organisations to go to their aid. She described the donation as timely and laudable because it would

alleviate their suffering.
