President Mills returns from Libya

Accra, Dec. 1, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills, returned home on Tuesday night from Libya, where he attended the Third Africa-European Union(EU) Summit.

He was accompanied by some government officials. Briefing journalists on the trip, Mr Chris Kpodo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, said the over 80 Heads of State discussed peace and security, infrastructural development, agriculture, migration and other topics that had to do with global progress and development.

He said President Mills held bilateral discussions with his colleagues on crucial issues that affected the African continent and the world at large. Mr Koku Anyidoho, Presidential Spokes Person, said President Mills re-emphasised his commitment to ensure that democratic governance which had gained root in Ghana, thrived and grew from strength to strength. He said President Mills asked the EU to lend its support to Ghana, especially in the area of infrastructural development. At the airport to meet President Mills was the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, Ministers of State and Senior Military and Police personnel. 01 Dec.10
