Addai-Agyepong elected NPP Chairman for Amansie West

Antoakrom (Ash), Jan 5, GNA – The Amansie West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected Mr James Addai-Agyepong as its Chairman. This was at the party’s delegates conference held at Antoakrom. He polled 593 votes to beat off a challenge by Mr Osei Kwame Panin, who garnered 280 votes.

Other Officers elected were Mr Rockson Yeboah, Vice Chairman, Mr James Asafo-Akowuah, Secretary, Mr Atta Amofa, Assistant Secretary, Madam Akua Afriyie, Women’s Organizer, and Mr Bismark Yaw Boadu, Youth Organizer. Mr Sam Cudjoe, the party’s Ashanti Regional Secretary, praised the delegates for the maturity and peaceful conduct of the poll. He urged the new Executive to work hard not just to retain the parliamentary seat in Election 2012 but to significantly reduce the votes for its opponents.

Mr Addai-Agyepong pledged to ensure a united front and work tirelessly to broaden the party’s appeal to voters and would inject vibrancy into the party’s structures at the grassroots.
